  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (plain or seasoned)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • ¾ cup ketchup (divided)
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, chopped onion, salt, pepper, and half of the ketchup. Mix until just combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into a loaf on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together remaining ketchup, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce. Spread half of this glaze over the meatloaf.
  5. Bake for about 60 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C). Brush with remaining glaze during the last 15 minutes.
  6. Let rest before slicing and serve with your favorite sides.
