- 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can (14.5 oz) fire-roasted diced tomatoes

- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess fat and transfer to the slow cooker.
- In the same skillet, sauté the chopped onion until translucent, then add minced garlic and sauté for another minute.
- Combine the browned beef, sautéed onions and garlic, drained kidney beans, diced tomatoes (with juice), chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper in the slow cooker. Stir well.
- Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours.
- About 30 minutes before serving, taste and adjust seasonings as desired.
