  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 ¼ tsp instant yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk (around 110°F)
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm milk, granulated sugar, and yeast. Let sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Mix in melted butter and eggs. Gradually add half the flour until combined; then incorporate remaining flour to form a soft dough.
  3. Knead on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm spot until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
  5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread softened butter over it, and sprinkle with brown sugar mixed with cinnamon.
  6. Roll tightly into a log and slice into equal portions (about 12). Place in a greased baking dish and let rise again for 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat oven to 375°F and bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. While cooling, prepare cream cheese glaze by mixing powdered sugar with softened cream cheese and vanilla extract; drizzle over rolls before serving.
