- 1 cup dried hibiscus flowers
- 4 cups water (for steeping)
- 1/2 cup sugar (or to taste)
- 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
- 2 cups cold water

Instructions
- Boil 4 cups of water in a medium saucepan.
- Remove from heat and add 1 cup of dried hibiscus flowers. Cover and steep for 15-20 minutes until deep crimson.
- Strain the mixture into another pitcher, discarding the flowers.
- While the liquid is warm, stir in 1/2 cup sugar until dissolved.
- Allow the mixture to cool, then add 2 cups cold water and 1/2 cup lime juice. Stir well.
- Chill in the refrigerator before serving over ice. Garnish with mint leaves if desired.
