- 1 (15 oz) can black beans, drained and rinsed
- 2 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tsp olive oil
Instructions
- In a large pot over medium heat, add olive oil. Sauté diced onions and minced garlic until translucent (about 5 minutes).
- Add ground turkey, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned (about 8 minutes), breaking it apart as it cooks.
- Stir in diced bell peppers and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
- Sprinkle in chili powder and cumin; mix well and let the spices cook for about 2 minutes.
- Add diced tomatoes (with juices) and drained black beans. Bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally for about 20 minutes.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary before serving.
