  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a round cake pan.
  2. Wash and pit the cherries, then slice them in half.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  4. In another bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
