  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (sifted)
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a round baking pan.
  2. Melt butter in the pan and sprinkle brown sugar evenly over it. Arrange pineapple slices on top.
  3. In a mixing bowl, cream together granulated sugar and softened butter until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in vanilla extract.
  4. Whisk together flour and baking powder in another bowl. Gradually add to wet ingredients, alternating with milk until smooth.
