Instructions
- Pop the popcorn according to package instructions and set aside in a large bowl.
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar, butter, corn syrup, and salt. Stir until melted into a smooth caramel sauce (about 5 minutes).
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
- Pour the warm caramel over the popcorn and gently mix until evenly coated.
- With slightly damp hands, shape the mixture into balls about the size of golf balls and place them on parchment paper to cool.
- Allow to set at room temperature for approximately 30 minutes before serving.
