Description

Air Fryer Churros are a guilt-free version of the classic dessert, offering a delightful crunch on the outside and a soft, pillowy inside. These delicious treats are perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth and can be dipped in warm chocolate or caramel sauce for an extra indulgence. With fewer calories and less oil than traditional churros, they are the ideal dessert for any occasion!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 tablespoon sugar (for dough) + more for coating
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon (for coating)
  • Pinch of salt (about 1/4 teaspoon)
  • 2 large eggs

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine water, melted butter, sugar, and salt. Bring to a simmer.
  2. Add flour all at once and stir vigorously until a smooth dough forms.
  3. Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Mix in eggs one at a time until fully incorporated.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Pipe churro shapes onto parchment paper.
  5. Lightly spray the air fryer basket and place churros inside, ensuring they are spaced apart. Air fry for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Toss warm churros in a mixture of sugar and cinnamon before serving.
