  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup fresh mint leaves
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine heavy cream, whole milk, and sugar. Stir until sugar dissolves. Add fresh mint leaves and simmer gently for about 10 minutes.
  2. Remove from heat and strain out the mint leaves using a fine mesh sieve.
  3. Cover the mixture and refrigerate until completely cooled (at least 2 hours).
  4. Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions (about 20-25 minutes).
  5. Just before reaching soft-serve consistency, fold in chocolate chips.
  6. Transfer to an airtight container and freeze for at least 4 hours before serving.
