  • 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil (for cooking)

Instructions

  1. Slice the beef against the grain and chop the cabbage into bite-sized pieces. Julienne the carrots.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  3. Add the beef slices in batches to avoid overcrowding. Sauté until browned but not fully cooked, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Stir in minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  5. Add julienned carrots and chopped cabbage to the pan. Stir-fry for about 3-5 minutes until vegetables are tender yet crisp.
  6. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, and sesame oil; pour over the stir-fry and toss to coat evenly.
