Description

  • 2 cans (15 oz each) navy beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 4 strips bacon, diced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the diced bacon until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté chopped onions in the bacon drippings until translucent.
  4. In a large bowl, mix together the navy beans, cooked bacon, sautéed onions, brown sugar, ketchup, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and spread evenly.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 35 minutes. Remove the foil for the last 10 minutes to caramelize the top.
